As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the ICU setting.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medication administration, and other critical care interventions.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum 1 year of critical care experience in an acute care setting.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
The ICU environment can be physically and emotionally demanding. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be required to:
- Stand for long periods, walk, and move quickly in response to patient needs.
- Use manual skills and motor coordination to perform various tasks, such as medication administration and vital sign monitoring.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to unpleasant physical working conditions and potential injury hazards.
