Vassar Brothers Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Critical Care Certification and TCAR Certification eligible.
- Experience in critical care setting preferred.
The ICU is a fast-paced environment with a high level of patient acuity. As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will be required to work in a team-oriented environment and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
