Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team at Hendrick Automotive Group. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support throughout their vehicle ownership experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with customers and technicians to identify and document service, maintenance, and repair needs.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to customers on necessary and recommended services, ensuring they understand the benefits and costs associated with each option.
  • Offer additional services and repairs to customers, ensuring they are aware of all available options and can make informed decisions.
  • Compute and communicate the cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicles to their original condition, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Estimate the cost of mechanical, electrical, or other repairs, providing customers with a clear understanding of the work required and the associated costs.
  • Enter itemized estimates on service orders and explain them to customers, ensuring they are fully informed and satisfied with the work to be performed.
  • Schedule appointments with customers, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Meet dealership standards for repair and order production, ensuring high-quality work and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain CSI at or above Company standards, ensuring exceptional customer service and loyalty.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Participate in required training and development programs, staying up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Follow all Federal, State, Local, and Company safety rules and regulations, prioritizing the safety and well-being of customers and employees.

  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to all standards and expectations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in automotive or customer service industries, with a working knowledge of mechanical operations and vehicle systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
  • Valid Driver's License required; Automobile Salesperson License preferred.
Work Environment

The Service Advisor will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, interacting with customers, technicians, and colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, with scheduled shifts including evening hours, weekends, and holidays. The Service Advisor may be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service repair conditions.

Physical Demands

The Service Advisor will be required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, with frequent movement around the Service Department to convey information between customers and technicians. The position requires the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, as well as effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and colleagues.
