Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately document and execute tasks as specified on the repair order, adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle fluid levels, replenishing as necessary.
- Monitor tire pressure and adjust as needed.
- Coordinate with the parts department to procure necessary components.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Change oil and filters as required, ensuring proper disposal of waste.
- Account for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
- Utilize tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Complete repairs efficiently as per the repair order.
- Conduct test drives and evaluate vehicle systems using diagnostic tools.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair various automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Communicate with Service Advisors to keep customers informed about required services.
- Provide time estimates for additional repairs.
- Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications:
- A genuine commitment to customer service.
- Entry-level qualifications in Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair preferred.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and service procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong physical dexterity for tool usage.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive and friendly demeanor.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
- Punctual and dependable with a desire for improvement.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Military experience is a plus but not required.
- Enjoyment of a fast-paced work environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
