Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality assurance, experience with complex microservice or big data environments, and excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning and Execution
Design and execute test plans to ensure software meets design specifications, review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback, and create, execute, and document detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Automation and ScriptingDesign, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools, and identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
Quality Assurance MetricsTrack quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts, and participate in the entire software development life cycle, from feature design to deployment.
Collaboration and CommunicationCollaborate with the product and development teams to deliver high-quality solutions, and participate in the entire software development life cycle, from feature design to deployment.
Requirements
- Experience
Proven work experience in software quality assurance; experience in complex microservice or big data environments preferred.
SkillsExperience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases, hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing, and hands-on experience with automated testing tools for API and service applications.
EducationBS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject.
