About the Role

Meade Engineering, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Commissioning Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Commissioning Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process for power generation and distribution systems, uninterruptible power supplies, automatic transfer switches, PDU's and medium voltage switchgear.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, oversee, and write commissioning policies, scripts and procedures.
  • Validate equipment installations.
  • Perform construction observations and develop thorough test plans.
  • Execute tests for a wide variety of electrical systems and ensure testing is performed in conformance with standards and specifications.
  • Be the connection between clients, contractors, and vendors during all phases of commissioning projects.
  • Review and analyze data and prepare technical reports.
  • Review design documents and equipment submittals.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and other project team members.
Requirements
  • 5 to 10 years of industry experience in electrical power distribution with a strong emphasis in data centers.
  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering is preferred but will consider other engineering disciplines, two (2) year degree, military training, or equivalent work experience.
  • Passion for leading in moments of ambiguity, particularly in the realm of construction and electrical operational problems.
  • Top-notch organization in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with MS Office products is critical.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, be motivated by deadlines, and possess the ability to multi-task
  • Working knowledge of building codes and construction industry standards.
  • Experience conducting quality control of electrical construction documents.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD & Bluebeam experience a plus.
