Position Overview

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, renowned for its excellence in medical education and innovative research, is seeking a full-time Senior Research Associate within the Department of Internal Medicine, specifically in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine.

This role involves engaging in advanced research initiatives centered on pulmonary vascular development and associated diseases. The ideal candidate will possess a strong research background and demonstrate a high level of expertise, although they may not lead independent research projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate research projects within a specialized area.
  • Contribute independently to various studies and projects, leveraging professional expertise.
  • Conduct statistical analyses and graphical representation of data, interpret findings, and evaluate data validity.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to address challenges independently.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve collective goals.
  • Establish testing controls, criteria, and research standards as necessary.
  • Design complex data processing systems for comprehensive research data analysis.
  • Deliver results for assigned projects or significant components of larger, intricate assignments.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable researcher and provide mentorship to junior research staff.
  • May supervise exempt and non-exempt personnel, including responsibilities related to hiring, performance evaluations, and time-off approvals.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline is mandatory.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of three years of experience in a related field or discipline is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

An advanced degree and specialized training are highly regarded.
