We are seeking an experienced and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at Claudie Restaurant, part of the prestigious Riviera Dining Group.
Job Description:
As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality dishes that meet our exacting standards. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the kitchen's daily operations, ensuring the successful execution of menu items as directed by our Chef de Cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Station Setup: Set up and organize your station according to our fine dining standards, ensuring efficiency and readiness throughout the shift.
- Food Preparation: Prepare all food items with precision and attention to detail, adhering to sanitation and timing requirements.
- Recipe Execution: Follow established recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines as defined by our Chef de Cuisine.
- Supply Management: Restock and maintain station supplies throughout the shift, ensuring readiness and efficiency.
- Safety and Sanitation: Uphold exceptional safety, sanitation, and organizational practices, maintaining a clean and orderly workstation.
- Kitchen Equipment: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of how to properly operate and maintain all kitchen equipment.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and effective communication.
- Additional Responsibilities: Take on additional responsibilities as requested by our Chef de Cuisine or Kitchen Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in communicating effectively in both English and Spanish.
- Teamwork: Ability to follow precise directions and work cohesively within a team.
- Pressure Management: Capacity to work calmly and efficiently under pressure in a high-paced fine dining environment.
- Problem-Solving: Must demonstrate problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and strong organizational abilities.
- Excellence Commitment: Commitment to excellence in service, food quality, and maintaining an understanding of French culinary traditions.
- Experience: 2-year proven experience working as a line cook in a high-volume establishment.
- Education: College degree/Culinary school degree preferred, but not necessary.
- Communication Skills: Great Communication Skills.
- Knife Skills: Excellent knife skills.
