Rural Health Group, a prominent Community Health Center, is actively seeking a full-time Clinical Risk Management Specialist. This role is essential in our healthcare operations, focusing on enhancing patient safety and minimizing risk exposure.

The Clinical Risk Management Specialist will collaborate closely with the Director of Risk Management to oversee the processes related to general liability and claims management. This position is pivotal in driving improvements in health outcomes and service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality in all assigned tasks.
  • Support the Director in addressing complaints received through various channels, ensuring timely documentation in accordance with established policies.
  • Assist in maintaining the variance and risk management database.
  • Analyze statistical reports to identify trends in risk management and patient safety for leadership review.
  • Act as a liaison with external regulatory bodies for patient and physician reporting and event investigations.
  • Manage employee certifications in CPR and immunizations, including tracking Hepatitis B status and influenza vaccinations.
  • Facilitate Risk Management training for all staff, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
  • Utilize compliance systems for training documentation and incident management.
  • Serve as a resource for risk reduction strategies and stay informed on industry trends.
  • Prepare and communicate statistical and qualitative reports on risk management trends to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational, communication, and telephone skills.
  • Proven leadership and teamwork abilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Capacity to multitask and perform efficiently in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute detailed instructions.
  • Professional demeanor with a commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with patients, providers, and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with modern office technology and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic computer proficiency; quick adaptability to electronic health record systems.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are advantageous but not mandatory.
