Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Control Systems Technician to join our team at NTN Bearing of America. As an Electrical Control Systems Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing PLC-based electrical control systems, as well as monitoring, modifying, and writing PLC programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot automated production machinery to identify root causes of trouble and repair as necessary.
  • Diagnose and replace faulty electrical and electronic components of machines, including relays, switches, motors, position sensing devices, printed circuit boards, and PLCs.
  • Connect electric power to machines and equipment, and control wires between machines and monitor equipment.
  • Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  • Maintain interior and exterior lighting systems.
  • Work with mechanics and lead persons to diagnose faulty machinery.
  • Able to make simple control systems using PLC (i.e., panel layout, wiring, and testing).
  • Able to read and make electrical schematic drawings.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience and High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
