Automation Systems Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe working practices and adhere to all safety guidelines.
- Work a 12-hour night shift, standing and performing tasks with minimal breaks.
- Operate and maintain a variety of automation equipment, including rotary and in-line indexing assembly machines, hot foil printing machines, pad printing machines, and robotics.
- Monitor and maintain automation systems to ensure product quality and process compliance.
- Perform changeovers of automation equipment, troubleshoot issues, and execute repairs as necessary.
- Accurately and legibly complete production reports.
- Collaborate with a team to improve operational efficiency and quality.
- Lift up to 30 pounds using safe lifting techniques and work around machinery with tools in a safe manner.
- Apply strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical principles, practical troubleshooting, fabrication, process theory in plastics, and robotic systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized manufacturing area, using cleaning tools and devices.
- Fill in for machine operators during breaks and lunch as needed.
- Work respectfully with others and engage in company initiatives promoting a culture of safe working, environmental protection, and continual improvement.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with automation equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent; secondary technical training desired.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Simple control systems wiring.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office suite, Excel, and email systems.
