Job Summary

As a Senior Operations Manager at Riverside Dental Lab, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and fiscal activities of the lab. This includes managing staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals to ensure the lab's success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and coordinate functions such as Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, Sales, Maintenance, and/or Research and Development to increase operational quality and efficiency.
  • Drive and determine division quality standards and production goals.
  • Work with Corporate to streamline quality and processes, ensuring standardization across all lines of production.
  • Ensure productivity and quality goals are met by monitoring production, resolving production issues, and motivating team members.
  • Meet with management team to resolve inefficiencies, quality and/or quantity issues.
  • Effectively manage lab's Profit and Loss Statement (P&L), including labor, materials, sales, equipment, etc.
  • Monitor quality issues and work closely with Quality Control Specialists and management team to address all issues regarding quality standards.
  • Analyze and document business processes and problems; Coordinate and implement solutions from process analysis and general department projects.
  • Oversee work schedule for scheduling, distribution, quality control and other supervisors.
  • Establish and implement training programs and procedures.
  • Work with management team to provide assistance and training to staff as necessary.
  • Coach and provide career development advice to staff. Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Assist staff to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to identify potential candidates to fill open requisitions and conducts interviews to assess candidate fit.
  • Communicate with Supervisors, Managers, and Executives on division operations.
  • Supervise staff in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Directs preparation of directives to division or department administrators outlining policy, program, or operational changes to be implemented.
  • Develops and enforces lab policies, in accordance with Company policies and procedures, as necessary.
  • Ensure all direct reports understand the performance standards of their department and have a clear understanding of their own individual performance.
  • May be responsible for oversight and management of support units (i.e., Facilities, Janitorial, Logistics, Purchasing, Inventory).

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in managing operational and fiscal activities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and document business processes and problems.
  • Ability to coordinate and implement solutions from process analysis and general department projects.
