Job Summary

As a Senior Intelligence Operations Manager, you will oversee the strategic direction and tactical execution of the Safety and Tribal Regional Analysis Center (STRAC). This position serves as a critical link between the STRAC's analytical and communication teams, ensuring seamless coordination and effective intelligence sharing with regional partners.



About the Role

This is a key leadership position that requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of intelligence operations, homeland security, and emergency management. You will be responsible for developing and implementing overall STRAC goals and objectives, as well as overseeing the development of situational awareness, analysis, and programs to inform, detect, and defend against major threats in the Inland Southern California Region.



Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and tactical oversight to the analytical and communication teams, ensuring effective coordination and intelligence sharing with regional partners.
  • Intelligence Operations: Develop and implement overall STRAC goals and objectives, as well as oversee the development of situational awareness, analysis, and programs to inform, detect, and defend against major threats in the region.
  • Collaboration and Liaison: Foster strong relationships with regional partners, including federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial agencies, to ensure effective intelligence sharing and coordination.
  • Training and Development: Provide analytic training, mentorship, and support to newly hired STRAC intelligence analysts, promoting a communicative, positive, and innovative team environment.
  • Grant Management: Coordinate with the STRAC management team to identify and document all grant reporting needs, ensuring compliance with federal grant guidelines.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Cybersecurity, Public Administration, Statistical Analysis, Geographic Information System (GIS), or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience working in a related field, including experience in homeland security, intelligence, or emergency management.
  • Two years of experience leading and managing a group of people.
  • A valid class 'C' California driver's license.
  • Eligibility to receive and maintain a U.S. Government SECRET clearance, up to a TOP Secret clearance level once employed, and maintain it throughout the course of employment.
  • A background check prior to commencing employment or performing services.
  • One of the following FEMA-approved Intelligence Analyst training courses: DHS Basic Intelligence Training Analysis Course, Foundations of Intelligence Analysis Training, or Critical Thinking and Analytic Methods.
