Job Summary

CAVA is seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer - Operations to oversee our data operations team and ensure the smooth functioning of our data infrastructure. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for managing a team of contractors, optimizing data pipelines, and maintaining data quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize data operations data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and timely delivery.
  • Monitor and maintain data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, and cloud platforms.
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues and implement solutions that triage immediate short-term fixes and long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data operations efficiency and effectiveness, allowing stakeholders and business to maximize the information.
  • Work closely with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to meet their data needs and communicate data impacts in a timely and effective manner.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on data operations.
  • Multiple years leading teams, providing guidance, and effectively executing deliverables.
  • Expertise in SQL, Python, and data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience with data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes – Boomi Experience is a plus.
  • Experience with managing data workflows at scale – Apache Airflow is a plus.
