Director, Full Stack Software Engineering - Enterprise Technology

We are seeking a dynamic leader to join our expanding management team overseeing software engineers responsible for developing and maintaining various internal applications. Our primary customers are our associates, and we handle sensitive information with the utmost security and integrity. We support a diverse range of SaaS and custom-built applications, and we are in search of leaders who adopt a product-centric mindset to identify optimal solutions that cater to the needs of our business partners, irrespective of the technology stack employed.

As a Software Engineering Leader within Enterprise Technology, you will merge extensive engineering expertise with a keen understanding of cutting-edge technologies, all while fostering a culture of mentorship and professional development among team members.

Creating and nurturing a robust sense of community and collaboration within your team, as well as across different teams, is essential—this is as crucial as the technological choices we make.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Preferred degree in Computer Science or Software/Systems Engineering
  • Over 10 years of experience in engineering and development
  • At least 4 years of direct experience managing a team of software engineers, including hiring, supervising, motivating, mentoring, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations
  • Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and executing complex enterprise-scale software solutions using Java and a UI framework like Angular
  • Proficient in Cloud-Native Engineering and DevOps practices within AWS
  • Experience with SaaS solutions (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow) is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships and influence at all organizational levels
  • In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies and teams operating in Agile environments
  • A commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to quickly assimilate information and anticipate changes
  • A solid grasp of how to cultivate and support a vibrant community of developers who enjoy collaboration and sharing ideas while supporting one another
