Role: Senior Cloud Solutions Architect

Travel: Required


The Senior Cloud Solutions Architect at Guidehouse will engage in technology planning and governance, influencing enterprise-level decisions.

This position is crucial in driving the enhancement and maintenance of the organization's technology strategy and processes.

As a leader, you will establish architectural direction for key technology initiatives.

This role will also act as a strategic partner to business and IT, internal innovation teams, and various IT functional areas, assisting them in identifying and leveraging new opportunities while ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine a comprehensive business technology strategy, including a strategic roadmap for IT systems.
  • Create IT strategies and roadmaps to guide investments in enterprise capabilities.
  • Implement application and technology portfolio management processes and tools to enhance transparency and minimize technical debt.
  • Assess business, information, application, and technology perspectives of solutions to identify potential risks.
  • Stay updated on cloud technologies and hybrid cloud frameworks.
  • Monitor advancements in application development and information technologies.
  • Collaborate with and mentor other enterprise engineers and junior architects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Ability to obtain a National Security Clearance.

Proven capability to learn and document new technologies and solutions.

Hands-on experience in designing and deploying cloud architecture on AWS within an enterprise context.

Extensive experience delivering solutions in an enterprise cloud environment.

Evaluate Cloud Application requirements and provide architectural recommendations for implementation, deployment, and provisioning in AWS.

Experience with microservices or data processing workloads using tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.

Strong hands-on experience in writing Terraform code for deploying AWS resources, including the creation and utilization of Terraform modules.

Familiarity with AWS Command Line Interface (CLI), Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), CloudFormation (CF), Terraform templates, and both Windows and Linux environments.

Experience deploying and provisioning production environment AWS resources, including IaaS components like EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, ELB, IAM, Security Groups, Cloud Watch, VPC, Route53, Subnets, Routing Tables, Internet Gateways, certificates, and autoscaling groups, as well as PaaS services.

Strong knowledge of data management and network engineering concepts and architectures.

Experience with ServiceNow is advantageous.

Experience working with C-Suite level executives is preferred.
