The Lead Product Strategist for our financial services division will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge financial technology and services tailored for our marketplace. This position focuses on enhancing payment solutions and additional services to optimize marketplace efficiency and create exceptional experiences for Xometry's buyers and partners. Financial services are integral to our user experience and customer enablement. In this capacity, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of Xometry's business model and platform, engage with both internal and external stakeholders, identify opportunities for value enhancement through data insights, develop strategic roadmaps, and collaborate closely with technology leadership and various organizational units to oversee the execution of these plans, including communication, marketing, and release strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transform a profound understanding of Xometry's business and customer needs into a compelling product vision and strategy that delivers value to both customers and the organization.
  • Oversee data-driven services throughout their lifecycle, advocate for new product initiatives or phase-outs, and address challenges, barriers, and dependencies with relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead extensive, intricate projects across multiple teams to fulfill your product strategy, maintaining a strong focus on achieving business outcomes.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with key partners by aligning priorities with business objectives, communicating and prioritizing product roadmaps, and securing buy-in from executive leadership.
  • Implement outcome-oriented and KPI-driven product management practices: Define product metrics that align with business goals, report on the results of your initiatives, and integrate customer feedback and product analytics to refine and enhance offerings.
  • Support the success of other teams by leading cross-functional processes that contribute to overall company performance and by mentoring other squads and teams.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management, adept at managing multiple competing priorities and engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong background in developing financial services and thriving in fast-paced environments.
  • Direct experience as a product manager in a company with a web-based product where technology is central to the business.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, particularly in articulating complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to balance technical scalability, business outcomes, and customer requirements.
  • Experience in building product roadmaps, managing backlogs, and collaborating closely with software development teams to deliver new products and features in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in utilizing data and metrics to validate hypotheses, confirm assumptions, and assess success.
  • A degree in computer science or a related technical field is a plus, along with technical proficiency in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript); a passion for technology is essential.
  • Demonstrated mission-driven mindset, positive attitude, and capability to inspire others.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic work setting.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, green card holder, or legal permanent resident of the United States.
