Guest Services Representative

Position Overview:
The Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for guests by providing exceptional service from the moment they arrive until their departure. This position involves a variety of tasks including guest registration, reservation management, and offering concierge services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to guest satisfaction while optimizing room occupancy and revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and register guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- Manage reservations, including modifications and cancellations, with attention to detail.
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously.
- Maintain effective communication with team members and other departments.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures for safety and efficiency.
- Process check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring a smooth experience for guests.
- Utilize the Front Desk computer system to manage guest accounts and reservations.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude towards guest service.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in basic math and financial transactions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
