About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Nurse Manager to lead our Surgical Services team at SayCom Staffing. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the PACU and Surgery departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Oversee the planning, directing, and controlling of staffing assignments to ensure effective coverage of the department and maintain productivity targets.
  • Performance Management: Review daily performance and ensure the department remains within recommended productivity targets and performance benchmarks.
  • Leadership and Development: Interview and recommend personnel, provide counseling and progressive discipline when necessary, and review and approve personnel performance appraisals.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Regularly communicate with supervisors and employees, participate in meetings with physicians and other departments, and attend mandatory hospital staff and educational meetings.
  • Financial Management: Assist with the preparation of the unit budget as directed by the Director.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse. Texas or Compact.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Charge Nurse or Management experience in surgical services within an acute care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
