We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Neuro ICU team at SayCom Staffing. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide 24/7 accountability and responsibility for a defined patient care area, ensuring a climate optimal for individualized goal-directed nursing care.
- Staff Development: Develop and implement a plan for staff development, care delivery, and unit growth, incorporating the philosophy of the Department of Nursing and the hospital's mission, vision, and values.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in and encourage staff participation in performance improvement as an educational experience and a tool for continual improvement of quality of care and nursing-sensitive indicators.
- Patient Safety: Develop and implement a plan for care delivery with patient safety as the primary goal, ensuring compliance with Infection Prevention and TJC Patient Safety Goals and Practices.
- Operational Management: Review budget and assume responsibility for maintaining operating expenses at target levels, actively seeking ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care, or services delivered.
- Education and Experience: Minimum of five years' acute care experience as an RN in the ICU and two years of acute care RN leadership experience in the ICU.
- Certifications and Licenses: Texas State RN license or Compact accepted, National Specialty Certification or plan to achieve within one year of hire, BLS/ACLS required, BSN required, MSN preferred.
- Skills and Qualifications: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to customer-focused care and star service.
