Operating Room Manager

About the Role:
The Operating Room Manager is a key member of the USPI team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the surgical services department. This includes managing the pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care of patients, as well as ensuring the smooth functioning of the OR, anesthesia, and sterile processing services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective systems to support the business of the department, taking into account business trends, resource availability, and changes in customers.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors.
- Identify and remedy areas for improvement through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement.
- Work with Senior Management to meet Facility goals.
- May assist as RN Circulator and Scrub Tech as necessary.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Baccalaureate degree preferred.
- Five (5) years' experience in surgery as circulator.
- Two (2) years' experience in surgery management.
- Current Texas RN License.
- BLS.
- CNOR preferred.
- Independent decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills with staff and physicians.
