Position: Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)
*Remote work eligibility available

Diversified Technical Services, Inc. is on the lookout for a dedicated Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to implement and oversee security measures, protocols, and frameworks within the Department of Defense Risk Management Framework (RMF). This role will be integral to a dynamic team, providing expert guidance and recommendations to secure Authority to Operate (ATO) statuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Information System Security Plan in accordance with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance.
  • Regularly update and manage the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
  • Oversee and maintain Configuration Management Plans.
  • Conduct audits and assessments of STIG findings, updating .ckl files in eMass as necessary.
  • Facilitate information system contingency planning and conduct related exercises.
  • Lead efforts to address vulnerabilities identified through security scans.
  • Manage security incidents effectively.
  • Ensure system integrity as per directives from DISA Task Orders (DTO).
  • Conduct cybersecurity audits, testing, and evaluations.
  • Draft vulnerability management plans and prepare security impact assessments for each software release.
  • Keep current with NIST requirements for all relevant RMF controls during ATO renewals.

Qualifications Required

  • A minimum of 5 years in an IT role with a focus on systems and networks, including experience in developing security protocols and best practices.
  • At least 3 years of experience in implementing and assessing security controls for eMASS (preferred).
  • Familiarity with DISA Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Knowledge of the DISA Cyber Exchange (formerly known as IASE).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Cloud One security environments (preferred).

Security Clearance Requirements

  • Must possess an active Secret Clearance.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification: Security+ce or higher is required.

Educational Background

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher is mandatory.
