Position Summary

The role involves assembling or fabricating mechanical components and products using various tools and equipment in accordance with precise specifications within a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and execute basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and specifications to accurately produce equipment and products.
  • Experience with GMAW and GTAW welding techniques in aluminum, steel, and stainless steel is preferred.
  • Utilize handheld tools such as screw guns, drill guns, and grinders effectively.
  • Operate measuring instruments like calipers and weld gauges to ensure precision.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on welding machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assess and enhance welding machine performance to improve production efficiency.
  • Set up specific weldments and fixtures to meet design requirements.
  • Perform quality assurance checks to confirm that products meet established standards.
  • Rework or repair welded components as per engineering specifications.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards in all tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with management to prioritize workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to pass a 3G plate welding test.
  • A minimum of 3 years of fabrication experience is preferred.
  • Basic reading and comprehension skills are necessary.
  • Familiarity with basic computer navigation is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Technical or vocational training or certification is a plus.
  • Team-oriented mindset with respect for colleagues.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently.
  • Manual dexterity to assemble parts accurately and efficiently.
  • Capability to operate a forklift and overhead crane.
