Digital Content Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Content Strategist to join our team at the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference of the UMC. This is a full-time, hybrid role that offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the RoleThe Digital Content Strategist will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive digital content strategy that engages our audience and further supports the mission of the conference.
This includes creating high-quality multimedia content (photo, video, written) for social media, website, event app, and e-newsletters that resonates with our audience.
You will oversee our social media presence on platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, creating and scheduling posts, managing follower interactions, and growing engagement.
In addition, you will manage and update our website, ensuring timely and accurate postings of articles, events, and multimedia content, optimize content for SEO, enhance user experience, and monitor site performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital content strategy that aligns with the mission and vision of the conference
- Create high-quality multimedia content (photo, video, written) for social media, website, event app, and e-newsletters
- Manage and update the conference website, ensuring timely and accurate postings of articles, events, and multimedia content
- Oversee social media presence on platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, creating and scheduling posts, managing follower interactions, and growing engagement
- Optimize content for SEO, enhance user experience, and monitor site performance
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Strong proficiency in content creation, copywriting, and visual storytelling to engage audiences effectively
- Proven experience growing and managing social media accounts across all major platforms
- Sound understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and more
- Proficiency in WordPress and basic understanding of HTML
- Ability to proactively identify challenges and provide innovative, creative solutions to enhance digital engagement
