Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an Event Sales Manager who embodies a vision of excellence and a passion for achieving sales goals. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the sales process, particularly in the context of event planning and execution. The Event Sales Manager will be responsible for both inbound and outbound sales, striving to meet and exceed established event sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the quarterly event sales strategy as directed by the Director of Sales and Chief Sales Officer.
- Generate new business opportunities while fostering repeat business.
- Develop and maintain a robust clientele to enhance event sales, while also referring catering leads to the Catering Sales Manager.
- Thoroughly understand all event and catering packages and options available.
- Utilize marketing tools effectively to attract potential clients.
- Analyze competitors to develop strategies for gaining a competitive edge.
- Maintain a guest-centered approach in all interactions.
- Leverage Salesforce CRM for tracking key performance indicators and reporting.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures to ensure accurate banquet event order detailing.
- Create a positive guest experience throughout the booking process.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of high-volume sales experience, preferably in hospitality, restaurants, or entertainment venues.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Exceptional organizational skills and efficiency.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a flexible approach to adapt to changing business needs.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Gmail.
- Prior experience with CRM systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
