Position Overview:
The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for overseeing the remote technical operations related to product data, identifying diagnostic challenges with sufficient detail to ascertain whether the underlying issue is hardware or software in nature. This role requires the application of specialized functional knowledge along with a broad understanding of industry standards. The engineer will either develop or contribute to solutions addressing a range of moderate complexity problems, working autonomously with minimal guidance while also mentoring junior staff.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in providing technical support to end users, whether in person, via email, or through phone communication.
- Proficiency in Windows or Linux operating systems.
- Capability to manage application, user, and system accounts effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve IT issues for end users, including software applications, web platforms, and peripheral devices.
- TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
- An Associate's degree is required.
- CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with SAPF and SCIF environments.
- Proficient in using tools such as Splunk, ACAS, or STIGs.
- Understanding of networking devices and their configurations.
Security Clearance:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is a prerequisite.

The salary range for this position is competitive and determined by various factors, including location, education, experience, and specific contract requirements. The estimated compensation range for this role is between $54,000.00 and $123,000.00 annually.
