Job Title: Registered Nurse II for MSS

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse II to join our Maternity Support Services (MSS) team in Vancouver, WA.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse II will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to pregnant women and new mothers in our MSS program. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and observe client and family needs, providing education and support to promote healthy pregnancy and postpartum outcomes.
  • Participate in monthly provider meetings and quarterly Community First Steps meetings to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, with a focus on maternal and infant health.
  • Perform independently, effectively, and professionally as an interdisciplinary team member, with a commitment to cultural sensitivity and awareness.
  • Must be comfortable and professional in the client's home setting, with the ability to set and maintain personal boundaries.
Requirements:
  • BSN/RN with recent maternal/infant, community, or public health experience.
  • Experience in patient counseling and education, lactation consultation experience, and/or certified Childbirth Educator is preferred.
  • Effective oral/written communication skills, assessment, and intervention skills, with the ability to recognize and support health behavior change.
  • Must have access to an insured vehicle and be able to make home visits.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Russian is preferred, but not required.
