Responsibilities

The Patient Care Specialist will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, accepting delegation from care team members, including physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals. This role will involve providing care, collecting and documenting patient care data, and communicating information to patients, families, and care team members. The Patient Care Specialist will also support the unit by maintaining the environment of care and performing unit-based clerical duties.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be at least 18 years old, have basic computer skills, and be able to read and communicate effectively in English. You'll also need to be able to work irregular hours, including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently are essential, as well as the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
