Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist - Acute Care Specialist provides clinical support and assistance to healthcare professionals in the operating room, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff. This role requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepares patients for surgical procedures, utilizing sterile technique and infection control practices.
Assists providers with specialty-specific invasive and non-invasive procedures, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
Provides pre-operative and post-operative care instructions to patients and families, as directed by providers.
Maintains accurate records and documents in the electronic medical record, adhering to MCHS policies and department guidelines.

Requirements

Graduate of a surgical technologist program or military equivalent.
BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required within three months of hire.
May require additional specialty or department-specific certifications (where applicable).
