As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting patient care delivery in various areas, including patient reception, scheduling, insurance verification, and payment processing. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless care delivery to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors, upholding high standards of professionalism and courtesy.
- Enter and update patient demographic and financial information, ensuring accurate and timely registration.
- Obtain and verify patient information, including applications and forms, and maintain accurate records.
- Collect patient liabilities and balance the cash box daily, ensuring financial accuracy and transparency.
- Collaborate with partnering departments to ensure comprehensive patient care, including financial counseling, scheduling, and clinical areas.
- Provide wayfinding instructions and assist with hospital information as requested.
- Coordinate patient admission needs, bed assignments, and tracking boards, ensuring efficient care delivery.
- Meet or exceed audit accuracy standards, working closely with colleagues to resolve errors and improve processes.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of previous customer service experience in an office setting or professional work environment
- Beginner level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
- Ability to work 7:30am – 4:00pm Monday - Friday
- Ability to float between 2 clinics
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a medical office or hospital admitting/registration office
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with electronic medical records system
Soft Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments
