Job Summary

Job Title: Environmental Services Technician

Job Summary:

The Environmental Services Technician plays a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff at Surgery Partners. This position is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting patient and non-patient care areas, removing refuse materials, and replacing expendable supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and disinfect patient and non-patient care areas to maintain a high level of cleanliness and prevent the spread of infection.
  • Remove refuse materials and replace expendable supplies to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Stock areas as needed to maintain a well-stocked and efficient environment.
  • Operate floor equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Attend work regularly and punctually to ensure seamless operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the team.

Requirements:

  • Terminal cleaning experience is preferred.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work effectively with others to achieve common goals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure safe and effective patient care and meet documentation standards.
  • Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities to advance professional development.
  • Previous experience in cleaning or floor maintenance in a hospital environment is preferred.
  • Awareness of professional standards and commitment to performing in accordance with them.
