Job Summary:

The Supervisor of Environmental Services will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Environmental Services department at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This role will supervise a team of Environmental Services personnel, ensuring that they maintain a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Manage Environmental Services Personnel: Directly supervise and manage a team of Environmental Services personnel, providing guidance, training, and coaching to ensure they meet the department's standards and expectations.
  • Ensure a Clean and Safe Environment: Oversee the daily cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, common areas, and other hospital facilities to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
  • Coordinate Environmental Services Activities: Coordinate the activities and functions of the Environmental Services department, ensuring that all customer needs are consistently met and that the department operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist with Budgeting and Financial Management: Assist with maintaining the Environmental Services budget, ensuring that expenses are managed within acceptable limits and that the department operates within budget.
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as assigned by management, including participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; preferably one year of post-high school education (management, business administration, or related field) and/or exposure to leadership training and responsibilities.
  • Experience: Minimum two years of lead attendant/supervisory experience.

A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role is $21.00 - $35.50 per hour.
