About the Role

We are seeking an Environmental Health Specialist to join our team at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. As an Environmental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, environmental compliance, and sustainability programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Occupational Safety and Environmental Compliance Programs: Develop and implement EHS program components, including training materials and written procedures, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Provide Technical Expertise: Offer guidance and support to site leadership and employees on EHS matters, including risk assessments, hazard identification, and control measures.
  • Develop and Implement EHS Management Systems: Collaborate with site leadership to establish and maintain EHS management systems, including ISO14001 and ISO45001 certifications.
  • Conduct Compliance Audits and Inspections: Facilitate and lead compliance audits, internal audits, and routine inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Manage EHS Projects and Metrics: Develop and implement EHS projects, track and report EHS metrics, and provide technical support to ensure corporate, business, and site goals are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: In any discipline, with a focus on occupational safety, environmental compliance, and/or industrial hygiene.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in occupational safety, environmental compliance, and/or industrial hygiene.
  • Skills: Excellent influencing, planning, organizational, and time management skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
