Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal/Sr Principal Systems Test Engineer – General Specialist to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert in system test environments, providing technical leadership and expertise to support the development and execution of test plans, test schedules, and test procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of acceptance test plans, test schedules, and test procedures, ensuring alignment with program objectives and requirements.
  • Support and host test planning working groups, facilitating collaboration and communication among cross-functional teams.
  • Interface with design and analysis functions to develop test and test data requirements, ensuring seamless integration and effective testing.
  • Coordinate test equipment and personnel requirements for safe and efficient execution of tests, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Provide test execution support and make real-time decisions regarding safety, efficiency, and effectiveness, ensuring the highest quality results.
  • Participate in post-test data evaluation and discrepancy resolution, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Serve as the subject matter focal point to interface with internal and external organizations to develop test and test data requirements, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math (STEM)
  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience with a BS Degree, 3 years engineering experience with a MS degree in STEM Field, or 0 years with a PhD in STEM Field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a system test environment
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
