Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Estate and Trust Manager to oversee our estate and trust operations. This role provides the opportunity to manage the administration of estates and trusts, deliver tax guidance, and facilitate wealth transfers. This is a permanent, hybrid role that combines remote and in-office work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the administration of estates and trusts, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
2. Offer expert guidance on estate and trust taxation, assisting clients in minimizing tax liabilities and maximizing wealth.
3. Create and implement comprehensive wealth transfer strategies to ensure efficient asset distribution to beneficiaries.
4. Provide tax advice to clients, clarifying the tax implications of their estate and trust strategies.
5. Develop philanthropic planning initiatives to help clients achieve their charitable objectives.
6. Deliver exceptional client service, fostering strong relationships and providing necessary support and guidance.
7. Lead and mentor a team of estate and trust professionals, offering direction and support for their success.
8. Stay informed on changes in estate and trust laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required; a Law degree is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in estate and trust management, preferably within the Mortgage sector.
3. In-depth knowledge of estate and trust laws and regulations.
4. Experience in estate taxation and wealth transfer planning.
5. Proven experience in providing tax advice to clients.
6. Familiarity with philanthropic planning.
7. Excellent client service skills, with a talent for building strong client relationships.
8. Strong management and leadership abilities, capable of inspiring a team.
9. Exceptional communication skills, able to explain complex estate and trust concepts clearly.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to make informed decisions based on thorough analysis.
