We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our exceptional team of educators at Soliant.

About the Role:

  • As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide specialized instruction, support, and advocacy to students with disabilities in an elementary resource setting.

About the Position:

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of inclusive education practices, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, collaborating with parents/guardians, support staff, and related service providers.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet the unique needs and abilities of students with disabilities, ensuring accessibility and promoting learning.
  • Employ a variety of instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technologies to facilitate student engagement and success.

About You:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid NC teaching certification or licensure for Special Education.
  • Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Understanding of individualized instruction, behavior management techniques, and evidence-based interventions.
