Job Summary

The HR Benefit Specialist will play a crucial role in the implementation, administration, and maintenance of the Total Rewards benefit plans, programs, and policies for North End Teleservices. This position requires a strong understanding of benefit administration, regulatory requirements, and fiscal management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with benefits administration, ensuring compliance with plan documents and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to execute benefit payment and reimbursement processes.
  • Collect and analyze data on cost per hire and time-to-hire to inform benefit program decisions.
  • Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) to streamline the hiring process.
  • Evaluate existing benefit programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness and trends.
  • Develop and implement total rewards programs that are equitable, meet organizational needs, and comply with legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to advance and revise total rewards benefits programs or implement new options to support strategic objectives.
  • Serve as the primary contact with benefit brokers, strategic partners, and third-party benefit administrators.
  • Lead benefit evaluation periods and coordinate open enrollment communications and rollout.
  • Manage programs such as ACA Reporting, Accommodations, Health & Welfare SCA benefit requirements, Retirement, Worker's Compensation, COBRA, and other benefits.
  • Administer benefits and track employee leave and use of leave benefits.
  • Provide insights to Executive Leadership using benefit participation and enrollment data.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to internal HRIS partners regarding system updates, interfaces, and customizations.
  • Manage corporate insurance requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience in a position strategically focused on employer total rewards benefit programs and management.
  • 2+ years' experience in benefit administration, Human Resources, or equivalent role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent years' experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of COBRA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA regulations.
  • Understanding of Davis Bacon, SCA, prevailing wage requirements a plus.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or CEBS Accreditation required.
  • Analytical and critical thinking problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management and planning experience preferred.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
