Job Title: Benefits Senior Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Benefits Specialist to enhance our Human Resources Shared Services team. This role is pivotal in managing the daily operations and administration of employee benefit programs, which encompass defined benefits, supplemental retirement options, and health and welfare plans. The Benefits Specialist will play a crucial role in achieving key objectives, including data analysis, compliance oversight, process enhancements, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in the strategy and administration of retirement plans by conducting compliance activities such as plan filings, nondiscrimination testing, audits, and PBGC premium payments.

· Collaborate with plan recordkeepers and payroll vendors to address escalated issues and ensure accurate administration of all retirement plans.

· Oversee funding activities related to retirement and Health Savings Accounts associated with High Deductible Health Plans (HDHP).

· Support various initiatives and programs within the Benefits department and the broader HR Services organization as needed.

· Conduct audits on retirement plan eligibility and participant data, including contributions from employees and employers, and resolve any discrepancies.

· Address daily operational challenges by responding to employee benefits inquiries from the HR community and assisting with appeals.

Required Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3 years in benefits and retirement plan administration.

· Proven experience in a shared services environment or a cross-functional role within a professional services organization.

· Ability to manage routine to complex benefit inquiries with sound judgment and professionalism.

· Experience in the management and administration of 401(k) retirement plans.

· Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks.

· Demonstrated ability to analyze data and drive recommendations to completion.

· Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal teams and external vendors.

· Proficient in analyzing benefit data and generating reports.

· Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and formulas.
