Job Summary

Mission Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Clinical Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory testing, while providing exceptional patient care and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures, including skin puncture and venipuncture, to collect blood specimens for analysis.
  • Process and prepare specimens for testing, including microbiology, immunology, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, and blood bank.
  • Operate automated laboratory instrumentation and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Stock and maintain supplies, as well as maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with specimen processing, sorting, and storage, as well as assist with laboratory testing and analysis.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current and valid state certification as a Clinical Laboratory Technician required.
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum 1 year clinical laboratory experience preferred.
