We are currently looking for a Laboratory Technician to become a vital part of our diverse and energetic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts and reports routine and specialized laboratory analyses on clinical trial samples to ensure subject safety and adherence to protocol specifications.
  • Identifies irregularities as outlined in study protocols.
  • Independently performs specimen processing and testing, including waived and moderate complexity tests, while ensuring accuracy in result analysis.
  • Manages, maintains, and troubleshoots laboratory instruments and equipment, executing minor repairs when necessary and recognizing when to escalate issues to management.
  • Implements and practices quality control measures, including running controls, evaluating data, documenting findings, and taking corrective actions as needed. Communicates relevant quality control information to supervisors.
  • Cross-trains in various laboratory sections as required.
  • Calculates, inputs, and verifies laboratory procedure results.
  • Utilizes the Laboratory Information System and electronic source systems effectively.
  • Documents and communicates critical laboratory findings to the Principal Investigator.
  • Engages in the assessment, development, and execution of new or revised testing protocols and procedures.
  • Exhibits proficiency in conducting laboratory tests.
  • Adheres to ICON's core values of Integrity, Inclusion, Agility, and Collaboration.
  • Completes all necessary compliance and regulatory tasks while following applicable policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science.
  • Clinical Lab Scientist license as mandated by state regulations (ASCP, AMT, etc.).
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
