We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at South Texas Health System. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for analyzing laboratory specimens and reporting results with accuracy and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze laboratory specimens and report results in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in quality control, assurance, maintenance, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Maintain laboratory supplies and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Develop and implement new laboratory procedures and protocols as needed
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a structured training program with clinical internship and relevant work experience
  • Demonstrate commitment to our organization's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field
  • Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician with relevant work experience
  • Registered Clinical Laboratory Science certification required
  • Participation in Certification Maintenance Program required every 3 years
