Regional Director Patient Access

At Jefferson Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Manager Patient Access to oversee the patient access operations across multiple facilities within our healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the efficient and effective functioning of patient access services, including registration, insurance verification, patient liability collections, and customer service.
- Work closely with departmental leaders, staff members, and other stakeholders to uphold high standards of quality, compliance, and patient satisfaction.
- Monitor key performance metrics to ensure goals are achieved.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the patient access teams within assigned regions.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise departmental leadership staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork.
- Oversee all aspects of patient access services, including registration, insurance verification, patient liability collections, and customer service.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to leverage technology solutions for streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency.
- Champion a patient-centered approach to care, prioritizing empathy, respect, and responsiveness in all patient interactions.
- Appraise staff performance, address complaints, and resolve issues.
- Implement initiatives to improve access to care, reduce wait times, and streamline the registration process for patients and their families.
- Serve as a liaison between patient access teams and other departments, facilitating communication and collaboration to achieve organizational goals.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess the accuracy and completeness of patient registration and financial data, implementing measures to address any deficiencies.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience in patient access, physician practice management, revenue cycle management, or healthcare administration.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, billing practices, and insurance requirements.
- Proficient with computer and Microsoft Office skills and familiar with healthcare EHR applications, such as EPIC and Cerner.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of professionals.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Covid vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson Health for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated, you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
