  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Provide budgeting, forecasting, and actuals analysis in terms of revenue, expense, profit, and investment projects, leveraging information from the past, present, and expected future operations.
  • Capital Expenditures: Lead the budgeting and forecasting for capital expenditures for the organization and coordinate business cases and requests.
  • Financial Modeling: Create financial models and analyses to support investment and operational decision-making.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure finances are managed according to University policies and procedures, legislation, GAAP, and Department of Education regulations.
  • Financial Systems: Manage financial systems and maintain full and accurate records.
  • Audit and Compliance: Respond to auditors' findings concerning finances and operations and oversee required action to address any deficiencies.
  • Financial Analysis: Review, analyze, and compare monthly and quarterly operating department financial results and KPIs against budget and forecast and other internal benchmarks, including working capital and cash flow analysis.
  • Cost Analysis: Prepare, analyze, and maintain cost data as required for regulatory reporting and for new program submissions on an ongoing basis and as requested.
  • Statistical Analysis: Perform statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported in the various financial systems.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience, which includes 7+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally in a public equity-backed company.
  • Leadership: Experience leading a team, project, program, or function as well as the ability to work in a team-oriented environment under tight deadlines.
  • Communication: Ability to use effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including complex proposals and presentations, as this position will be presenting information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors and trustees.
  • Financial Acumen: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports, and legal documents and manage resources.
  • Time Management: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities utilizing strong time management abilities and attention to detail.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to exercise the utmost confidentiality in every aspect.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in accounting, cost accounting, finance, business administration or related field required; Master's degree in accounting, cost accounting, finance, business administration or related field preferred.
Compensation
  • Salary: $150, $218, Annual Bonus

  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid position where you will work in our administrative office in Irvine 3 days/week and from your home office 2 days/week.
