Job Description

The Recreation Facility Specialist I plays a critical role in delivering recreation programs and services to the community.

This position involves supervising staff, coordinating with Public Works, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as a strong commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise recreation programs and staff
  • Train and evaluate employees
  • Coordinate with Public Works for facility maintenance
  • Assist with budget development and record keeping

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in Recreation Administration, Physical Education, Sports Management, Leisure Services, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
  • One year of full-time paid supervisory/leadership experience; OR High School diploma (or G.E.D.) AND 6 years of full-time or 7 years of part-time paid supervisory/leadership experience in recreation, athletic, or leisure time activities
  • Degree must be from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Higher Learning Commission or equivalent region

Salary Range

Estimated salary range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year
