Key Responsibilities:
  • As a Retirement Plan Sales Consultant, your primary role will be to cultivate a new Retirement Plan Services division by engaging with current clients and potential prospects, fostering relationships, and effectively conveying beneficial solutions.
  • You will oversee the entire sales cycle, from identifying prospects to finalizing deals, which includes organizing meetings, preparing support materials, drafting proposals, and delivering sales presentations.
  • Ensure timely and precise entry of data into Salesforce regarding sales and prospecting activities.
  • Offer insights on fiduciary responsibilities, technical aspects, and operational matters related to retirement plans throughout the sales process.
  • Establish connections with internal stakeholders and external influencers to enhance Retirement Plan Services and expand the overall business revenue.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from various business lines to promote and provide all relevant services to both prospective and existing clients.
  • Engage actively in business line initiatives and comply with risk management and regulatory standards relevant to the financial services sector.

Required Qualifications:
  • A blend of education and experience, including a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of sales experience, ideally in retirement planning.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales and revenue targets through the acquisition of new business, along with a solid understanding of investment services, plan design, industry trends, and ERISA fiduciary requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capability to engage effectively with clients and internal teams in developing institutional retirement solutions.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficient in presenting retirement plan products and services to both existing clients and new prospects.
  • Experience in business development for retirement advisory services across specified regions.
  • Prior sales experience in retirement plans is preferred, with a strong background in business-to-business sales being essential.
