Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join the Rutland Regional Medical Center team at the Foley Cancer Center. Our comprehensive community cancer center provides care in multiple settings, including cancer clinic, inpatient, emergency room, and telehealth.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physician and nurse partners to deliver patient- and family-centered care. The schedule includes Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with no weeknight call and one weekend per month on-call coverage.

About the Role:

The Advanced Practice Provider will provide healthcare services to patients by following established standards, procedures, and practices in their area of specialty. Key responsibilities include obtaining detailed histories and performing physical or psychological examinations, administering therapeutic procedures such as injections and suturing, and instructing patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens.

  • Detailed History Taking: Obtain thorough medical histories from patients, including medication lists and previous treatments.
  • Physical Examinations: Perform routine physical examinations to assess patients' overall health and identify potential issues.
  • Therapeutic Procedures: Administer medications, injections, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians, and perform basic wound care and suturing.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in Nursing or graduate of an American Medical Association-approved Physician Assistant educational program.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a specialty area, such as oncology or emergency medicine.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Licensed with the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation and certified by a national certifying organization recognized by the Vermont Nursing Board's scope of practice.
Compensation:

$175,000 per year, based on experience, with opportunities for career advancement and professional growth within the Rutland Regional Medical Center network.
