Role Expectations:

In this pivotal leadership role, you will guide, mentor, and inspire your team to meet departmental goals efficiently, safely, and in compliance with environmental standards. The Manufacturing Maintenance Leader collaborates with Engineering and Operations to ensure optimal maintenance of all plant assets while supporting continuous operational flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the implementation of the strategic business plan in partnership with all departments.
  • Oversee a robust predictive and preventative maintenance program while effectively managing repair and maintenance costs.
  • Foster a safe and productive work environment through sustained employee engagement.
  • Act as a business partner with other managers to achieve results that extend beyond your department.
  • Establish and communicate a strategic vision with ambitious goals that provide clear direction for the organization.
  • Develop a strategic maintenance roadmap for the next three years.
  • Play a significant role in preparing operational budgets, capital plans, and project evaluations.
  • Continuously seek to enhance the effectiveness of personnel, processes, and facilities under your leadership.
  • Identify and address systemic issues across the entire operation.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are executed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, adapting to changing production demands.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with union representatives and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in maintenance or engineering within heavy industry.
  • Experience in change management and continuous improvement in a lean manufacturing setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, or a related business field.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members for career advancement.
  • Proven track record of leading teams to achieve success.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CMRP certification, experience in industrial manufacturing, and leadership experience in a unionized environment.
