Key Responsibilities:

In this pivotal leadership role, you will guide, mentor, and inspire team members to meet departmental goals efficiently, safely, and in compliance with environmental standards. The Manufacturing Maintenance Leader collaborates with Engineering and Operations to ensure optimal maintenance of all plant assets while supporting continuous operational flow.

Primary Focus Areas:

  • Lead the execution of the strategic business plan in partnership with all departments.
  • Oversee a comprehensive predictive and preventative maintenance strategy aimed at reducing repair and maintenance expenses.
  • Foster a safe and effective workplace through sustained employee engagement across all levels.
  • Act as a business partner with other managers to drive results beyond departmental boundaries.
  • Establish and communicate a strategic vision with clear objectives to guide the organization.
  • Develop long-term maintenance strategies aligned with a three-year planning horizon.
  • Contribute significantly to operational budgets, capital plans, and project follow-ups.
  • Continuously seek to enhance the effectiveness of personnel, processes, and facilities.
  • Identify and resolve systemic issues across the operation.
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance practices that adapt to changing production demands.
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with union representatives and ensure compliance with collective agreements.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in maintenance or engineering within heavy industry.
  • Experience in change management and continuous improvement in a lean manufacturing setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to mentor direct reports for career advancement.
  • Proven track record of leading teams to achieve success.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CMRP certification and experience in industrial manufacturing.
  • Leadership experience in a unionized environment.
