Job Summary

AmeriQual is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Installation and Maintenance: Assist in the installation of new equipment, working closely with manufacturing representatives, engineering teams, and other cross-functional department teams.
  • Equipment Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment malfunctions using inspection, operation, and testing techniques. Provide support for root cause analysis to create corrective actions and prevent repeat issues.
  • Calibrations and Preventive Maintenance: Perform equipment calibrations and preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication and frequency-based tasks.
  • Safety and Compliance: Understand and adhere to all safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Equipment Repair and Replacement: Understand when to contact manufacturers' service technicians for assistance with repair or replacement of faulty equipment.
  • Work Order Management: Update computerized maintenance systems with accurate and timely information related to work performed.
  • Communication and Escalation: Exhibit a sense of urgency around work order completion and documentation of work performed. Must be comfortable quickly escalating and communicating equipment issues to others for additional support and resources.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use Continuous Improvement (CI) tools, such as the 5 Whys method, for root cause analysis and problem-solving.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A 2-year degree in Industrial Maintenance or two plus years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong mechanical abilities and troubleshooting aptitude required; electrical experience strongly preferred.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.
  • Professionalism and Time Management: Professional, can-do mentality; ability to multi-task and prioritize; strong time management skills with the ability to work independently without extensive supervision.
  • Safety Knowledge: Thorough working knowledge of all current OSHA and Safety Standards.
