Job Summary

The Supply Chain Manager at Charles Street Talent Advisors is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the planning and scheduling of materials and resources to ensure efficient and timely material availability. This role will play a critical part in driving operational efficiency, minimizing costs, and meeting customer demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demand Forecasting: Develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and customer input to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Inventory Management: Implement effective inventory management strategies to balance supply and demand, minimize stockouts, and optimize inventory levels to maximize profitability.
  • Materials Planning: Develop and execute materials planning schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials, aligning with business objectives and customer expectations.
  • Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of materials to maintain a stable and efficient supply chain.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to drive business growth.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve planning processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance.
  • Team Management

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials planning or supply chain planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), with experience in implementing and optimizing supply chain processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a strong focus on delivering results and driving business success.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and developing high-performing teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field, with a strong foundation in business principles and practices.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a deep understanding of production processes and supply chain complexities.
  • Certification in APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), demonstrating expertise in supply chain management and operations.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, with experience in implementing and optimizing processes to drive efficiency and reduce waste.
